Welcome

I’m SO glad you’re here!

I’ve always loved organizing. As a child, I remember going to play at my cousin’s house. The play date usually ended up with me in boss mode, telling my cousin to clean her room. I would help, of course. We would put away toys, fold laundry, make her bed… all the things. After “playtime” our parents would laugh in disbelief. I don’t think I even realized that we spent the entire time doing actual chores. I just remember leaving happy and fulfilled. I couldn’t wait to go again!

What child actually loves to clean their room? I guess I’m the exception. My bedroom was always spotless, complete with perfectly displayed alphabetized black diamond Disney VHS movies! I would fold my clothes and display them in my closet, so every morning felt like I was at a shopping mall. What kid does this?

Every morning after breakfast and every night after dinner, we did a ten minute tidy. It was always fresh and clean. Even as a child, I loved that. It’s the little things that can make the big difference in a space. I still live like that.

There has always been an excitement for me to see something go from messy to neat. Am I totally nuts? Or totally awesome? Still to be determined. :)

I believe that we make time for what we want. I DO NOT want to live in a messy cluttered space. I can’t focus and relax in a mess. Do I ever let the dishes build up? Or the laundry basket overflow? Absolutely. I’m human. But it’s rare. Consistency is key. It’s the few moments we spend resetting a house that always keeps a place looking it’s best.

I’ve learned some pretty cool tricks along the way and cannot wait to share them with you. I didn’t grow up with the tools we have today. Clear bins. Cubby units. Labels on everything. Imagine what I could have done to my cousin’s bedroom if I had a Target? Ahh! I’m all about finding a place for everything. Let’s display our pretty pieces and not hide them away. Why can’t we shop our closet every morning? Most importantly, I’m all about finding budget friendly items to help cut costs. So, come join me… Let’s get organized. Together. More to come!
